🚲 Camillus Mayor Dick Waterman has been working for 10 years to develop a 5-mile biking and walking trail for the village to connect the Empire State Trail.
“It’s going to be an extension of the Erie Canal system,” Waterman said. “It’s going to be a big deal. It’s going to help the village.”
Now, the village has received a $180,000 grant from Onondaga County to design the trail and complete a feasibility study.
Waterman expects the plans to be finished by fall, and trail work to begin in 2027.
