Ronald E. McNair High Graduation - June 7, 2021

McNair High is hosting two virtual parent workshops.

🟩The first one will held on January 26 with the Child Abuse Prevention Council SJC. The workshop will focus on how to cope with daily stress and frustrations.

🟩The second one will held on February 10 with the Dairy Council. The workshop will focus on healthy living and healthy eating.

📣Lodi USD students📣 Our 10th Annual Poetry Contest is taking place now until February 20, 2020. Poems can be any length; topics and verbiage must be appropriate for a school activity. Submit entries in hard copy form with the student's first and last name, school, and grade clearly printed on the back to 1305 E. Vine Street, Lodi, CA 95240.

Thank you to the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office for bringing Witness to Innocence (WTI) to the 209. WTI is dedicated to empowering exonerated death row survivors to be strong and effective voices in confronting problems in the U.S. criminal justice system. Over the past two days, exonerees Kwame Ajamu, Herman Lindsey, and Sabrina Smith shared their stories not only with the legal community but with students from various high schools across the county as well. During the presentations held at the Ronald E. McNair High School and John C. Kimball High School campuses, San Joaquin County District Attorney Tori Verber Salazar also addressed students – or as she referred to them, “the guardians of the Constitution and Bill of Rights” - encouraging them to learn more about the justice system. The insightful presentations were followed by a Q&A panel with Verber Salazar, Ajamu, Lindsey, Smith, and Public Defender Miriam Lyell, which led to students learning more about resources and the important role of the juror.
