🚨 Parade Day Update – 4 PM 🚨

The parade route is now open to traffic, but please note that City Market and River Street remain closed to vehicles.

🚗 Parking Reminder: While on-street parking is free, please park safely and follow all regulations—violations will be cited.

🚶‍♀️ Pedestrian Safety: Stay vigilant and be aware of your surroundings as crowds move through the area.

🚔 Ordinance Enforcement: Parade marshals are still monitoring for violations. Make good choices and celebrate responsibly!

🚨 Parade Setup, Parking & Road Closure Reminder! 🍀💚

As we prepare for Savannah’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade, here’s what you need to know:

Parks & Squares Close at 10 PM tonight– All items must be removed, so our teams can prepare for the Land Rush in the morning.

🚌 No Motorcoaches – Out-of-town motorcoaches are NOT allowed in the Festival Ordinance Zone.

🚗 Move Your Car by Midnight! – If you’ve parked in the parade staging area or along the parade route, you must move your vehicle by 12 AM to avoid being towed.

🚧 Road Closures Begin at 2 AM on Monday, March 17 – Be aware of closure times and plan your travel accordingly.

🇮🇪☘️ Jasper Green Ceremony & Pre-Reception ☘️🇺🇸

The City of Savannah and Mayor Van R. Johnson, II welcomed guests from Dublin, Wexford, Limerick, and Mayo, Ireland, along with high-ranking officials from the Republic of Ireland, at a special pre-reception.

Hosted by the Savannah St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee, the Jasper Green Ceremony honors the service and sacrifice of Irish-American military members—a tradition deeply rooted in our shared history.

We’re grateful to our Irish guests, local officials, and community for joining us in this meaningful celebration of heritage, service, and St. Patrick’s Day in Savannah! 🇺🇸🇮🇪

🚨 St. Patrick’s Day Parade Weekend: Know the Rules! 🍀💚To keep the festivities safe and enjoyable for everyone, here are some key reminders:

✅ Festival Ordinance Zone Restrictions (March 14th - March 17th)
The Festival Ordinance Zone is enclosed by The Talmadge Bridge, MLK Jr. Blvd, River Street, Victory Drive, and Truman Parkway.

🚌 No Motorcoach Drop-Offs in the Ordinance Zone
Motorcoaches CANNOT drop off passengers inside the Festival Ordinance Zone due to safety and traffic concerns. Please designate areas outside the zone for drop-offs to ensure a safe and orderly arrival.

It’s 5 PM, which means setup for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade can now begin in tree lawn areas—BUT remember the rules:

Chair Placement:
✔️ Folding chairs ONLY may be placed in lawn areas (not in Parks & Squares yet).
❌ No chaining, zip-tying, or attaching chairs to trees, poles, or structures. They will be removed.
🚧 Sidewalks and streets must remain clear—no obstructions allowed!

🏞 Parks & Squares Reminder:
The official Land Rush begins at 6:00 AM on Parade Day (Monday, March 17th). No early setups allowed!

No tents may be set up in advance.

🚨 St. Patrick’s Day Parade Setup Rules 🍀💚 Planning to secure your spot for the Savannah St. Patrick’s Day Parade? Here’s what you need to know before setting up:

🏞 Setup Guidelines

Tree Lawn Areas – Setup is NOT allowed until after 5 PM on Sunday, March 16th.
Parks & Squares (Land Rush) – Setup is NOT allowed until Monday, March 17th, at 6 AM.
🪑 Chair Placement
✔️ Folding chairs only may be placed in lawn areas after 5 PM on Sunday (not including Parks & Squares).
❌ Chairs cannot be chained, zip-tied, or tethered to trees, poles, structures, or other objects.
🚧 Sidewalks and streets must remain clear at all times—no obstructions allowed.

🏕️ Watching the Parade from a Square? Get Ready for the Land Rush!
Each year, parade-goers line up early and sometimes even sleep on the streets overnight to claim prime spots—but the official "Land Rush" is at 6:00 AM on Parade Day (March 17th). No early setups are allowed!
