Yesterday’s annual Project Huddle Up meeting successfully brought community partners together to finalize operational plans for the upcoming youth football season.

Led by Public Safety’s Stop the Violence Office, the session established comprehensive strategies to ensure a secure, welcoming, and positive environment for all participants and spectators.

Public Safety is spearheading these efforts by coordinating Pittsburgh Bureau of Police support, reinforcing permit rules with CitiParks - Pittsburgh Parks & Recreation, implementing robust crowd management expectations, and establishing clear emergency action plans.

In addition to safety protocols, attendees aligned on conduct standards for youth participants and spectators. Through proactive facility coordination and deep community partnerships, Public Safety is ensuring that every field remains a safe space for teamwork and community celebration this season.
