What an incredible milestone! In just eight packing shifts at the Patty Cownie Packaging Center in West Des Moines, more than 500 volunteers came together to pack 285,120 meals headed to South Africa through our partnership with Meals from the Heartland and Convoy of Hope.

The meals will first travel to Convoy of Hope’s headquarters in Springfield, Missouri, before continuing overseas, with arrival in South Africa currently expected the week of July 13. We are deeply grateful for every volunteer, donor, and partner helping make this possible for the children and communities we serve.
