Faith & Blue 2026 was a meaningful time of faith, fellowship, and support for our law enforcement officers and community. Sheriff Russell and the Hampton County Sheriff’s Office extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make the event possible.

Sheriff Russell and members of HCSO attended the Discover Wellness HRMC Health Fair 2026 today.

We enjoyed spending time with the many seniors in our community who attended and connecting with them throughout the event. Thank you to Hampton Regional Medical Center, MUSC Health, and Low Country Health Care System for bringing the community together and sharing health and wellness resources. We appreciate the opportunity to support events that contribute to a healthier Hampton County.

MISSING PERSON CASE REOPENED
***PUBLIC ASSISTANCE REQUESTED***

Hampton County Sheriff’s Office Cold Case Division have reopened the investigation into the disappearance of ERNEST WARREN, who was reported missing on July 23, 2017, from the Luray area.

Investigators are actively reviewing the case and are asking members of the public who may have information, no matter how minor it may seem, to come forward. A seemingly small detail could help investigators establish a timeline or provide an important lead.

If you have information regarding Mr. Warren’s whereabouts, activities, or circumstances surrounding their disappearance, please contact Investigator Joshua Dowling at 803-842-8730.

LOCAL MERCHANT EDUCATION SESSION: OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Hampton County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with New Life Center, invites local merchants and community members to attend the Palmetto Retailers Education Program (PREP) on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 3:00 to 6:00PM.

PREP provides education on responsible alcohol and to***co sales, helping businesses prevent underage access and reduce liability risks. Topics include checking IDs, recognizing fake IDs, refusing sales, understanding sales laws and responsibilities, and establishing effective store policies.

Convenience store, v**e shop, grocery store and liquor store owners, managers and employees are encouraged to participate. Members of the public are also welcome to attend and learn more about these issues and their impact on our community.
