Indian River County Fire Rescue is incredibly proud to support two of our own, Joely Gehring and Stacy Zedek, as they once again participate in the Brotherhood Ride, October 17โ€“23.

Over seven days, they will cycle approximately 600 miles across Florida in honor of 22 Florida first responders who lost their lives in the line of duty in 2025.

This ride is about so much more than miles. It is about honoring sacrifice, remembering our fallen heroes, and reminding their families that their loved ones will never be forgotten.

On October 21st, the riders will travel south along US 1 through our community! We encourage everyone to come out, show their support, and cheer them on as they continue this meaningful journey.

Joely and Stacy, your dedication to honoring our fallen brothers and sisters makes us proud. Thank you for representing IRCFR and carrying forward the promise that their sacrifices will never be forgotten.

๐Ÿ”ฅ 10 YEARS. 4 MEMBERS. COUNTLESS MOMENTS. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

A decade in the fire service is more than a milestone! Itโ€™s 10 years of early mornings, late nights, long shifts, countless calls, plenty of laughs, and a whole lot of dedication to our community.

This month, weโ€™re celebrating four members of the IRCFR family who have officially hit the 10 YEAR mark! ๐ŸŽ‰

๐Ÿš’ Lt. Daniel Masters
๐Ÿš’ Eng. David Osgood
๐Ÿš’ Sgt. Joshua Santiago
๐Ÿš’ FM Michael Duskin

For the past decade, each of these guys has brought his own talents, personality, and commitment to the job, and IRCFR is better because of it.

10 years down and plenty more memories to make!

Help us show these four some love and congratulate them on a DECADE of service to Indian River County!

๐Ÿ–ค Forever Remembered. Never Forgotten. ๐Ÿ–ค

Last week, members of Indian River County Fire Rescue traveled to Colorado Springs to take part in a deeply meaningful tribute honoring firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice.

This year, 288 members of fire departments from across the country were added to the memorial wall, honoring those whose deaths were connected to their service.

Among those names was one very special to the IRCFR family John Morgan.

John passed away in 2010 from job-related cancer. Although many years have passed, his service, sacrifice, and memory have never left us. Seeing his name permanently placed on the wall is a powerful reminder that the sacrifices made in this profession do not always end when the call is over.

We are grateful that members of our IRCFR family were there to represent John, our department, and the community he served.

Johnโ€™s name now stands alongside his fallen brothers and sisters; a permanent tribute to a life of service and sacrifice.

John Morgan, you are remembered. You are honored. And you will always be part of the IRCFR family. โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน ๐Ÿš’
