✨🌟 GLOW GAMES at Westbriar Elementary! 🌟✨
We love when learning looks like THIS! 🎉

6th-grade math teacher Ms. Alissa Roth has turned SOL prep into something truly special and it's been glowing (literally!) for four years running. Using grant funding, Ms. Roth transformed her classroom with blacklights, blackout curtains, and vibrant neon materials to create an unforgettable review experience for her students.

Students rotate through FIVE neon-lit game stations, Tic-Tac-Toe, Co****le, Jenga, Connect 4, and Heads Up, all while sharpening key math skills like integer operations, solving equations, word problems, and math vocabulary. Add in some great music and you've got one high-energy, colorful day that students won't soon forget! 🎵🟣🟢🟡

This is exactly the kind of creative, dedicated teaching that makes Westbriar such an incredible place to learn. Thank you, Ms. Roth, for going above and beyond for our kids! 💛

The WES Staff is excited to host our Easy as Pie Night on Thursday, March 12th, from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM. We invite families to drop in for a quick, 30-minute visit to participate in fun, age-appropriate math games. To keep the math "easy," we have partnered our grade levels so you can explore games tailored to your child’s current level and what lies just ahead!

Where to visit:
Kindergarten & 1st Grade: Visit the K/1 Hallway.
2nd Grade & 3rd Grade: Visit the 2/3 Hallway.
4th, 5th, & 6th Grade: Visit the Upper Grade Hallways.

The "Sweet" Details

The Prize: As students complete their games, they will turn in their "pie piece" for a raffle entry to win a Math Game for their family!

The Treat: Students will receive a mini-pie upon completing their games (available while supplies last).

Important Note: This is not a drop-off event. All students must be accompanied and supervised by an adult to attend and participate.
