Apparatus Update 🚑❤️

Members of the VVFD Apparatus Committee recently traveled to Grove City, Ohio, to conduct the final inspection of our next medic unit. Built by Horton, the new medic unit will serve the Vienna community as Medic 402 and will be staffed by Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department (Fairfax County Fire and Rescue ) career personnel assigned to Fire Station 402.

We anticipate new Medic 402 entering service by the end of the year.

We’re grateful for the continued support from the Vienna community. Your generous donations help make important apparatus purchases like this possible and ensure our community has the best equipment to provide emergency medical services.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 10, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and join us for a fun-filled day for the entire family.

Visitors can meet the firefighters and volunteers who serve the Vienna community, enjoy demonstrations and activities, learn important fire and battery safety information, and enjoy food and surprises throughout the day.

Today we join our fellow citizens in remembering and mourning the family members and friends whose lives were taken from them in the terrorist attacks on September 11th. We honor the countless acts of heroism, selflessness, and sacrifice by so many across the country and the world in the following days.
We are also proud of our members who served in paid or volunteer roles in firehouses on that day, as well as those whose careers in law enforcement, the military, and in numerous other agencies helped to protect our region and our country.
