The teachers, nurses, farmers and ranchers, first responders, tradespeople, small business owners, office staff, healthcare workers—and all the other hardworking folks who keep our Oklahoma communities going every single day.

And a special shoutout to everyone who is working today while the rest of us are calling it a holiday. ❤️

Running a small business has given me an even bigger appreciation for all the work people do behind the scenes—the long days, paperwork, phone calls, miles on the road, and the million little things nobody else sees.

Sometimes the hardest part of getting a document notarized isn't finding a notary- it's finding the time or being able to travel to one.

That's where a mobile notary can help.

I travel to homes, workplaces, hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and other agreed-upon locations throughout rural Northeast Oklahoma. It can be especially helpful for busy families, caregivers, seniors, and anyone with limited transportation or mobility.

Between work, family, errands, appointments, and everything else life throws at us, taking care of ourselves can easily fall to the bottom of the list.

I’m learning that self-care doesn’t always have to be something big. Sometimes it’s a quiet cup of coffee, a morning walk, reading a few pages of a book, or simply saying, “That can wait until tomorrow.”

Building Redbud Notary Co. has reminded me that ideas are the easy part. The real work happens in the early mornings, the late evenings, the miles on the road, and all the little behind-the-scenes tasks nobody sees.

But getting to help people in my community makes that work worth it.

Nobody wants to schedule a notary appointment only to realize they’re missing something important.

Here’s a quick checklist to help you prepare:

Bring a current, acceptable photo ID.
Have the entire document with you.
Leave the signature lines blank until the appointment.
Make sure everyone who needs to sign is available.
Ask beforehand if witnesses will be required.

As we head into August, what are you looking forward to most?

Maybe it’s the kids returning to school, settling back into a routine, football season getting closer, or simply knowing that cooler weather is eventually coming. 😂

For me, August feels like a fresh start—a chance to get organized, settle into new routines, and keep building Redbud Notary Co. one appointment and one connection at a time.

Summer doesn’t always have to mean a big vacation or a perfectly planned day.

Sometimes it looks like dinner outside, a walk before the heat sets in, kids running through the yard, a cold drink on the porch, or staying up a little later because the sun hasn’t quite disappeared.

Those ordinary summer moments may not seem like much while they’re happening, but they often become the memories we hold onto the longest.
