Town Councilor Stacey Constas Hello! I am excited to be running for Town Council in the April 22, 2025 election. I can't wait to meet you, and talk about your concerns for our great town.

Working Together, Growing Stronger- let's do this!

What is your voting plan for Tuesday, Nov 3? There are 9 ballot questions, so the time you'll need to vote in-person is likely to be longer than normal. You can consider dropping your mail in ballot at the special box outside town hall, or voting early in person at the Office of the Town Clerk in Town Hall, located at 1 Lafayette Street, during the following times:

Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18, 2026: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25, 2026: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Monday, October 19 through Friday, October 30, 2026: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The polls are open on voting day, at the Galvin, 7 am to 8 pm.

No matter what path you choose, make your voice heard, and VOTE!🗳✅

Congratulations Wakefield Human Rights Commission on a wonderful inaugural food festival. I saw nearly 500 people enjoying our local restaurants' fare, kids enjoying the games and crafts (thank you Creative Chaos Emporium!), and the music and dancing entertainment. What a terrific event!!

Another beautiful Wakefield Saturday. Festive and packed Wakefield Farmers Market - with a new baked good enjoyed by me- a "pineapple" roll (so called for the top texture) stuffed with apple filling- delicious, followed by an inspiring kickoff to the ALS Angel Walk. Hearing the doctors talk about research progress was really hopeful. And the doves flying against the bright blue sky were marvelous. I hope you are enjoying your day!

Thank you Friends of the Lucius Beebe Memorial Library for a wonderful Jazz on the Plaza summer. Last night was the 2026 final event, and seeing how dark it was by 8 pm was a reminder that fall is nearly upon us! See you at all the great autumn town events- stay tuned!

Welcome to The Link! A free, all electric transport service around Wakefield and Reading, plus Leahy and Wi******er Hospital. Thanks to Mass DOT funding, we have this service starting tomorrow, for two years! Please see the flyer below for all details. Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to get this service for us. Beautiful & well attended ribbon cutting today. I can't wait to use it!

Thank you organizers, volunteers, sponsors and musicians for an incredible porchfest! Wakefield Porchfest you knocked it out of the park! We rode our bikes around to see various acts, & it seemed like the whole town was on the move, enjoying the beautiful weather and music. Thanks again and see you next year!

The state primary is only 6 days away (Sept. 1). Please make your plan to vote- the Wakefield Town Clerk is open for in-person early voting this week daily from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm; you can drop your mail-in ballot in the special mailbox outside town hall; or you can vote in person at the Galvin auditorium on Tuesday, Sept. 1 from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm. In these local elections, every vote really counts, and there are many contested offices in this race. Make your plan and let your voice be heard!
