Four years of experience. Four years of putting students, educators, families, and our community first.

Serving on the Charles County Board of Education—and currently serving as Board Chairperson—has given me the experience to understand the issues, navigate difficult decisions, build consensus, and get results.

During my time on the Board, I have:

✅ Helped establish the Board’s first Accountability Metrics to strengthen transparency and measure progress.

✅ Supported a historic two-year contract that provided meaningful wage increases for educators and support staff.

✅ Advocated for policy and grading changes designed to increase opportunities for students.

✅ Introduced Board-adopted resolutions recognizing and celebrating underrepresented communities within CCPS.

✅ Served on state-level equity and legislative committees and the Governor’s Council for School-Based Health Centers representing and advocating for CCPS at the state and national levels.

✅ Strengthened community engagement and helped make Board meetings and information more accessible to families and the community.

These accomplishments matter because experience matters. Effective school board leadership requires someone who understands the work, knows how to collaborate, and is prepared to make decisions that move our school system forward.

I’m running for re-election because I’m not finished. I want to continue the work I started and keep delivering results for the students, educators, families, and communities of Charles County.

Thank you to the many neighbors across District 3 who welcomed me to their doors last week! Listening to families, educators, community members, and residents is one of the most important parts of serving on the Charles County Board of Education.

These conversations remind me why community engagement matters. Every question, idea, concern, and success story helps shape the work I do and strengthens my vision for our schools:

🍎Advocating for educators,
🍎Partnering with families, and
🍎Ensuring every child has access to opportunities to succeed.

As your current Board Chairperson, I have always believed that leadership begins with listening. That commitment will continue as I work to finish what we have started and keep moving Charles County forward together.

Community Engagement is key to the work of a Board Member.

Connecting with organizations such as Your Infinite Paths Foundation can make a world of difference for our school communities. Organizations like these fill in the gaps that are often created by resource limitations. I'm extremely grateful for relationships like these that I have built over the years as a community member and public servant which allow me to better advocate for and serve the needs of our community.

If I am re-elected for another 4 years, you can expect the same level of commitment that I have demonstrated over the last 4 years. I will show up. I will advocate for our community and the resources we need, just as I have always done.
