Sometimes it’s the kindness and generosity of our little community that reminds us just how fortunate we are. 🩷
We hadn’t been able to make it to the post office during their open hours for a little while, so imagine our surprise when we finally picked up our packages! Several wonderful people had purchased items from our library’s wish list, and we are absolutely overwhelmed by their thoughtfulness!
Among the surprises were a beautiful new cabinet and table, both of which will be wonderful additions to our library. Neither package included the donor’s name, and we would so appreciate the opportunity to thank you personally! If you purchased either of these items, please let us know, unless, of course, you would prefer to remain anonymous. Whether we learn who you are or not, please know how grateful we are for your kindness. These are things that will be used and appreciated for years to come, and it means so much that someone thought enough of our little library to make that possible.
We also want to extend a very heartfelt thank you to Allan S. for his incredible generosity and kindness toward our library. Allan, your thoughtfulness and support mean more than words can express, and we are so fortunate to have people like you who believe in what we’re doing and want to help us succeed.
And another heartfelt thank you to the wonderful patron who donated a Kindle e-reader! We are so grateful for your generosity. The Kindle will soon be joining our Library of Things collection, giving our patrons another wonderful resource to borrow and enjoy.
Like so many small-town libraries, we are continually finding ways to do more with less. Unfortunately, a recent budget cut is making it a little more challenging, but that hasn’t changed our commitment to growing, improving, and finding new ways to serve our community.
What makes a small library special are the people who believe in it, support it, and recognize just how much a library can mean to a community.
We have worked incredibly hard to bring new life to this little library, and we’re determined to keep that momentum going, even with fewer resources. Donations like these help us stretch every dollar a little further, improve our space, and offer things we might not otherwise be able to provide.
But beyond the practical value of these gifts, there’s something even more meaningful in knowing that people care enough about their library to help it grow.
To Allan, to our anonymous donors, to the kind woman who donated the Kindle, and to everyone who continues to support this little library, thank you. You are part of what makes this library so special, and we are deeply grateful for every bit of kindness you have shown us. 🩷
