Propane is essential to many agricultural and commercial activities in the Central Valley, and over 12,000 homes in the 13th District depend on propane gas for heating.

The 13th District of California is proud to the home of Castle Air Museum, located at the former Castle Air Force Base in Atwater.
Visitors from across the world enjoy exhibits like this SR-71 Blackbird, the mighty B-52 Stratofortress, and dozens of other military aircraft!
BILL PASSED! 🇺🇸
I am pleased to announce that the House has passed my bill, H.R. 7816, The Clear Communication for Veterans Claims Act!
This bill would require the Department of Veterans Affairs to contract with a federally-funded research and development center to reduce indecipherable jargon in VA notice letters.
Veterans and their loved ones should be able to easily understand VA correspondence regarding crucial benefits, and this bill addresses this issue head-on.
Veterans rightfully earned their benefits in service of our nation, and I am honored to stand up for them!

Churintzio, Michoacán
For centuries, our Valley has forged strong bonds of blood, commerce, and friendship with the people of Mexico.

Congratulations to the Assyrian Festival for achieving a decade of celebrating Assyrian cuisine, language, and culture!
Today I had the distinct honor of presenting a commemorative Congressional Record and a flag flown over the United States Capitol to the Central Valley Parishes of the Holy Apostolic Catholic Assyrian Church of the East.
Turlock is proud to be home to one of the largest and most active Assyrian communities in the United States. I find the incredible resilience of the Assyrian people over the course of millennia to be truly inspiring!

I'm grateful to have been able to join Chairman Cliff Bentz and my California colleagues for the recent House Committee on Natural Resources Subcommittee on Water, Wildlife & Fisheries field hearing in Santa Nella.
We heard from key water stakeholders on the consequences of California's chronic water scarcity for the nation's food supply and our Valley's communities.
Our Valley's families are proud to feed America and the world, and they deserve water abundance!
If we took 1% of California's $3.3 trillion economy for one year alone, we'd have $33 billion to build the water infrastructure we need for generations to come.
Instead, we're spending over $100 billion on high-speed rail.
We have the resources to provide water abundance. We just need common sense.
