Larry Morris came to the University as its general counsel in 2011 and served in that position until he became chief of staff/counselor to the President in 2018. He joined the University after nearly 30 years in the U.S. Army.

In Memoriam: Dr. Lee Edwards

We at Catholic University YAF were heartbroken to hear of the passing of Dr. Lee Edwards, a towering figure in the conservative movement and a cherished mentor to many. Dr. Edwards, who passed away on December 12, 2024, at his home in Arlington, Virginia, was a founding Chairman of the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation and a recipient of its Truman-Reagan Medal of Freedom.

He played a pivotal role in founding Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) in 1960 and served as the first editor of its magazine, New Guard. His dedication to the cause of freedom and his leadership in various anti-Communist organizations have left an indelible mark on the conservative movement.

Here at Catholic University, where he earned his doctorate in world politics, Dr. Edwards served as an adjunct professor of politics, inspiring countless students with his wisdom and passion for liberty. His legacy at our university is profound, and his teachings will continue to guide us.
