“Marshall Farms is a torture chamber. It is a stain on New York.”
The U.S. Department of Agriculture estimates 16,000 beagles are held behind this fortress. Many don't know it's in our backyard. They do now. I was proud to join advocates fighting gainst testing on cats and dogs. We won’t stop until it’s banned and this place is shut down.

ICYMI: During my visit to Home Days in Horseheads, I had the opportunity to thank the brave volunteer first responders who put their lives on the line to protect others. Their selfless service keeps our families safe and our communities strong. We are grateful for all they do.

Helping our rural fire departments get the resources they need to keep us safe will always be a top priority and last year, NY23 fire departments received $1.7 million in FEMA Federal Emergency Management Agency AFG grants, funding radios, turnout gear, air packs, and lifesaving equipment. I'm also fighting burdensome OSHA regulations that threaten volunteer fire companies.
When someone in NY23 is in need, my team rolls up our sleeves and answers the call. The Southside Community Center in Elmira faced a tough, federal challenge that put its future at risk. My team bridged a solution, and now this vital lifeline can serve families for years to come.

Congratulations to Bill Meehan and BMS Manufacturing on 50 years of success. From a three-worker shop in 1976 to one of Schuyler County’s premier manufacturers employing more than 45 people, Bill’s leadership, craftsmanship, and commitment to community embody the American dream.
In Washington, I’m fighting to ensure the brave men and women of our volunteer firefighting ranks have the tools, training, and resources they need to save lives. I delivered that message to first responders while visiting "Home Day" in Horseheads.

More than a century of craftsmanship and lifesaving impact right here in Elmira. Since 1907, Kennedy Valve has produced the fire hydrants and protection systems that's saving lives across America. They even produced eight-million valves that helped the WWII war effort.
