Just because I don’t post as often as I used to doesn’t mean she ain’t working 👏🏾✨ Still in these advocacy streets! As a doula, my work goes far beyond the birth space 💜 it’s about standing in the gap where policy, healthcare, and real life collide.

Today at the Maternal Health Symposium: Stronger Together, I witnessed the power of advocacy in action. This wasn’t just talk about delivery rooms it was about reimagining trust, building partnerships, and creating systems that truly center mothers, families, and communities.

Because birth is just the beginning ✨. Maternal health is about the journey, the resources, and the justice that sustain us long after the baby arrives.

I’m leaving this space reminded that every voice matters, and every push for equity counts. And I’m here for all of it in the birth room and in the boardroom. 🙌🏾

I would like to take this time to hold space for families who may have suffered loss, but finally got their rainbow after the storm! Some of you may know my story with having multiple miscarriages, battles with breast cancer and whew all the things!! Soon to be 16 years later, I have a beautiful daughter and I know there’s always light at the end of the tunnel.

I take this time in this space to comfort you to hug you for those who may still be in the fight. Continue to pray continue to stay grounded continue to stay rooted and know that you are enough! You are capable you are beautiful you are strong - I got you, we have you.

Please help me welcome our newest cousins to the family reunion-The Obichere’s!! Baby Obichere made it earth side 8/14/23 at 6:22 PM, weighing in at 6lbs 2oz and 19in! Things just got prettier around here! 🥹💕🥰

Thank you for allowing me to support you throughout your pregnancy and the birth of your beautiful daughter. Many say families learn from Doula’s and birth workers, but for me, I learned what strength, love, and compassion looks like during moments where things may seem impossible. Patience is the key in getting the best outcome for what is needed, and this was the name of the game for this family. This family has an unwavering faith I can only hope to attain one day. When you know and trust your body, you’re able to make those tough informed decisions and prevent unnecessary interventions. Sometimes the birth space can look making revisions of the birth team when we’re not comfortable, and getting those who listen to our needs! We did just that! I’m so proud of Dad for being a protector, a sense of comfort, and reassurance. This has been a journey worth the wait for a beautiful happy ending!

Talk about an all-star birth squad!! This mama was surrounded by her Sorors whether it was her Midwife 💕💚, her doula of course 😌💕💚, and nurses 💕💚. gives a new meaning to sisterhood, one where I can be proud of the day I joined this amazing sorority.

God I pray that you protect this angel who brings joy to the faces of her parents every day. May this baby girl live to bring the same joy to others as she grows up. Guide her as she goes through school, her career, and through her life in your grace and with lots of success. May she live to fulfill what you created her for and be a testimony to your greatness. Amen.
