An ICE officer shot and killed Renee Good, a Minneapolis mother of three.
Because she wasnât technically âin custody,â DHS never officially notified Congress. That is a dangerous loophole.
Reneeâs killing was caught on video. But what happens when there is no camera, no viral footage, and no public pressure? Would her killing have gone under the radar?
My bill forces DHS to notify Congress when someone is seriously injured or killed in its custody or at the hands of its personnel. It also requires independent investigations and a report to Congress.
Accountability should not depend on whether someone was filming.

Secretary Markwayne Mullin once tried to brawl at a Senate hearing.
Now Republicans want to hand ICE & CBP a $70B blank check to scale Trumpâs mass deportation machine. They want Mullin to be the enforcer.
Tomorrow and I are putting him on the record.

I asked witnesses with firsthand experience of DHS violence what theyâd say to âBorder Czarâ Tom Homan if he had shown up to our hearing.
The violence and abuse weâre seeing today demand accountability from DHS officials.

This is what accountability looks like.

Weâre supposed to believe Epstein and Maxwell were the only people who knew?
Bondi said she doesnât know whether Trump knew about Epsteinâs crimes before they became public.

Happy , VA-11!
As a member of the and a proud ally, Iâve voted time and time again to defend LGBTQI+ rights and fight back against anti-LGBTQI+ bills and amendments in Congress.
Iâll always stand with the LGBTQI+ community. đłď¸âđ

If youâre wondering where Trumpâs focus is: itâs not lowering costs, not resolving global crises, and not helping working families.
Itâs putting his face on a $250 bill.

Bondi ducked a simple question yesterday: Did Trump know about Epsteinâs crimes before they became public?
Given Trumpâs long history and close friendship with Epstein, itâs hard to believe he knew nothing.

Fairfax just turned trash into solar power.
A former landfill is now a 5-megawatt solar farm that will save taxpayers about $12 million.
While Washington pulls back on clean energy, Fairfax is showing how renewable energy can cut costs, create value, and power our future.

Trump is racking up losses.
He tried to illegally pay Jan. 6 rioters with your money. Judges said no.
He illegally slapped his name on the Kennedy Center. Judges said no.
Milli Vanilli wonât even perform at his Freedom 250 party.
