Thank you to everyone in attendance at yesterday’s Rural Water Roundtable in Eagle Lake, especially my friend Rep. Dusty Johnson, for joining me in and hearing from Minnesotans about the importance of strong, reliable water systems in our communities.

In the FY26 appropriations process, I secured $11.4 million in funding for rural water infrastructure projects across southern Minnesota, and I appreciated yesterday’s conversation to hear how these dollars are positively impacting residents across the First District.

Thank you to the brave men and women of FBI - Minneapolis and U.S. Attorney Daniel Rosen for taking swift action to apprehend Sheikhdoon Abdullahi Mohamud, charged with plotting a terrorist attack at the Mall of America.

Because of the coordinated counterterrorism efforts across multiple agencies, this extremist’s plot was foiled, American lives were saved, and this individual will now be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Federal authorities have arrested a man accused of plotting a terrorist attack at Mall of America and pledging his allegiance to the Islamic State group.

Last week, I joined a Q&A session in Trimont, hosted by my friends at the Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation. As a fourth-generation farmer and member of House Ag GOP, I’ve championed policies to help our farmers, like the House-passed Farm Bill, year-round, nationwide E15, and repealing the egregious Prop 12 mandate. I appreciate having these meaningful conversations to hear more about how I can continue to advocate for our ag industry while serving in Washington, D.C.

It’s deeply concerning that well-known, household names in the technology industry are closely affiliated with communist China and pose significant cyber espionage risks to our national security.

We shouldn’t have to question the safety of our government technology. That’s why my bill, the Safeguarding Technology from CCP Influence Act, puts our cybersecurity first by prohibiting the U.S. government from purchasing any computers or printers from companies linked to the Chinese Communist Party.

Avian metapneumovirus (aMPV) has severely impacted Minnesota turkey flocks. Minnesota is the top turkey-producing state in the nation, which is why I led my fellow members of our Minnesota Congressional Delegation in sending a letter to U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins, urging the administration to take meaningful steps to address the significant losses our turkey growers have experienced. ⬇️

While in Martin County last week, I was able to get an update from local officials on their plans to renovate the regional public safety and justice center in Fairmont. I was proud to secure $1.1 million in funding for these important updates that will ensure our local law enforcement officers have the proper resources to keep our communities safe.

I supported the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, and now I’m excited to see that the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development are committed to streamlining standards to make homeownership more accessible in our rural communities. ⬇️

I had a great time meeting with the team at Met-Con in Faribault this week to get an update on projects they are working on across , and to discuss how I can continue to be a voice for the Minnesota construction industry in Congress. Met-Con employs hundreds of people in the area and continues to grow as an industry leader here in our backyard.

Under Democrat leadership, Minnesota became ground zero for welfare fraud. Now these same leaders are enabling election fraud through the state’s controversial voter vouching system.

Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon has done everything in his power to prevent transparency on this issue.
