Where You End is an onion that you peel away layer, after layer, after layer in hopes to make it to the center, but it only seems to grow in size. The draw of this kind of story hinges on the reveal, or reveals, as you work your way through it. It’s like assembling a puzzle without knowing the picture…. If that sounds like your jam, keep reading.

For starters, I am one of those readers who will shamelessly pick up a book (in this case audiobook) without knowing anything about it. I liked the cover and GoodReads had it shelved as a mystery/psychological thriller and that was enough for me. After listening to the book I read the GoodReads synopsis and friends, it read like that blabber mouth plot spoiling friend that ruins all the books and movies… This is what you need to know:

When Kat wakes up from a coma, she discovers nearly all memories of her past life have vanished. All she remembers is Jude is her twin sister, and now is her only hope of filling in the blanks and reclaiming her identity. But as the months progress, things are not adding up, and Kat fears Jude may be lying about their past. When Kat begins pulling at the threads, Jude’s elaborate tapestry begins to unravel and the two face dangers far beyond anything Kat could have ever imagined.

Boom. That’s it. That’s all you need to know. If that sounds good, then pick up this fu***ng book and buckle up for a story filled with intrigue, revenge, betrayal, & challenging morality… You won’t be disappointed.

The audiobook was fantastic. Megan Tusing and Samantha Desz were so well matched for Kat and Jude. Kat’s voice was delicate and innocent, Jude’s voice was smoky and bold… both perfectly matching what I as the reader should envision for each character. This is my first time listening to both, and I’m for sure seeking out other books they’ve narrated.

It’s officially a snow day in DC! The best part of snow is enjoying inside, all warm and snuggled up with a good book. How is the weather in your neck of the woods?

Today I’m listening to The Fortune Seller by Rachel Kapelke-Dale, my oldest is reading and assembling a National Parks pop-up book, and my youngest picked out Buffalo Fluffalo... and we read it about six times today.

Buffalo Fluffalo is determined to bluff and fluff his way through life, showing all the other animals he’s big and grumpy. But when a rain storm reveals he’s all fluff, Buffalo Fluffalo learns he doesn’t have to act tough, because being himself is great!

This picture book is funny, cute, heartwarming, and holds a valuable lesson of self acceptance... along with simply gorgeous illustrations... Also, be sure to peek behind the dust jacket, the book cover has a special surprise!

I adore this book. It's the perfect testimony of what you can achieve through determination and hard work. In addition to Edith's life being awe-inspiring, the illustrations are magnificent. Each page is bursting with imaginative scenes, soft colors, and bountiful textures.

If you're looking for last minute holiday gifts for a big dreamer in your life, I highly recommend adding Dressing Up the Stars to your list.

Like many bookstagrammers, I love gifting books during the holiday season. One of my favorite traditions is unwrapping a new book with the kids each night leading up to Christmas. This year, we have changed it up a bit and read 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝟭𝟬 𝗕𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 for the first ten days of December.

The Bible stories in Whistlestop Tales illustrate how God works through people to accomplish greatness. What I love most is that each story exemplifies the diversity within the Bible by providing a window into the modern-day countries and their cultures where the stories took place. It was such a fun and unique way to introduce our kids to new places. Each story is accompanied by fun illustrations and written with an age-appropriate narrative. These action-packed stories will surely encourage your little ones to live their own unique adventures with God.

Well… Sort of.

My family and I are moving, but we are leaving my little free library to continue to serving our neighborhood. The new owners are excited to take the reins.

But I’m not giving up steward life! We are getting a new little free library ready to open at our new home!

I’ve been a little absent from Insta as I have been working on moving my family, but will be back to regular sharing soon and have lots of new books to share here and in our new Little Free Library.
