Hello everyone! As you all know, I started Bay Area Mask Care back in May 2020 with the aim of assisting people in combating COVID-19. With the pandemic slowly receding, I am proud to announce a new phase of my initiative. Going forward, we will be providing elderly care services to seniors in the community.
Our services will include finance management, grocery shopping, light housekeeping, technology assistance, and even pet care. We believe that every senior deserves to have access to compassionate care and support, and we're committed to making that happen.

Over the past few years, we have achieved a lot with Bay Area Mask Care. We hand-made over 600 cloth masks, raising around $2000 dollars in proceeds from their sale, which was donated to Open Heart Kitchen, a local not-for-profit that provides food for the needy. We also ran a successful fundraising campaign, "The Mask India Project," which raised $7,500 to support COVID relief in India. We partnered with a leading fashion designer in India to provide masks to various communities in Southern India, including women's police and shelters that housed abandoned women and children.

Now, as we move into a new phase, we're excited to continue making a positive impact on our community by providing much-needed care to seniors. We hope you'll join us in supporting this new initiative and helping us make a difference in the lives of our seniors.

Thank you all for your continued support!

I have raised over $2000 and want to continue my initiative to give back to the Tri-Valley community. You can purchase 100% cotton handmade masks from a selection of over 40 fabrics for only $5 each. I will be donating 100% of the proceeds and each mask can get 2 meals made by the Open Heart Kitchen to the people who are in need of fresh and healthy food. If you are interested in making a difference, please purchase masks from me. Do let me know the quantity, size (Child, Women, Men), and fabric choice by reaching out to me at the contacts provided below. Let's fight Covid-19 together.

Bay Area Mask Care

Bay Area Mask Care is an initiative started by Siddharth Ramalingam, an 8th grader, to contribute to his community during the Coronavirus crisis. With the extra time, we all have because of distance learning or remote working, his eagerness to make a difference in his own small way started this initiative. This initiative started with making 4 handstitched homemade masks for his own family members using a thread and needle. Now, all masks are made with a sewing machine, cut to a template, with proper lining and elastic ear bands in a variety of prints in cotton fabric choices.

Social distancing measures implemented during this pandemic has resulted in a compulsory use of a facial mask in public places to prevent the spread of this virus. Siddharth currently sells masks to his neighbors and people in the Tri-valley area to raise funds to support a local nonprofit organization providing free hot food services to those in need. In addition, to selling masks to raise funds, Siddharth also donates masks to those in need at a local elderly care facility and other organizations in need of masks.
