We filed an amicus brief urging the court to stop construction of President Trump’s Ballroom project, which is opening the door for corruption.
This presidential pet project is being funded by private donors, including major corporations like Meta, Coinbase, Ripple and Lockheed Martin, who have significant interests before the federal government in the form of large government contracts and enforcement actions.
The reliance on private funding creates serious risks for corruption. But the Ballroom is just the latest example of this administration granting official benefits — like appointments, contracts and pardons — to wealthy special interests in return for contributions. We’re tracking dozens of these corrupt pay-to-play transactions.
