Last week, DC Bilingual hosted educators from several schools for a two-day Escuelita session: Transforming School Communication & Family Engagement.

Participants from DC International School, Elsie Whitlow Stokes Community Freedom Public Charter School, Washington Yu Ying Public Charter School, Mary McLeod Bethune Day Academy Public Charter School, and Esperanza Academy (LA) explored DC Bilingual’s approach to building strong partnerships with families through presentations, real-time engagement activities, and collaborative discussions.

Since launching this year, Escuelita has reached 17+ schools and 100 educators, with participants leaving with practical strategies and inspiration for their own communities.

One session remains this year: Cultivating High-Impact Teacher Teams (Mar 31–Apr 2).
