Since leaving for Basic Training, A1C Lilliana M. hasn’t been able to see her sister in person for over a year. That all changed yesterday when Miles for Military flew her home for her sister’s Sweet 16!

After volunteering 29 hours at Shoreline City Church, A1C Lilliana M. is finally reunited with her loved ones.

This is what Miles for Military is all about! Turning hours spent giving back to the community into meaningful moments with the people who matter most.

How long did you go without making it home as a young service member?

I asked retired Chief Master Sgt. Jason David that question at the Military Influencer Conference, and his experience reinforced exactly why the Miles for Military mission matters.

Chief David is now a Senior Enterprise Strategy Executive at Adobe and previously served as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader at Defense Media Activity. He was also recognized at MIC as one of We Are The Mighty’s Mighty 25 Award recipients.

Grateful for his time, perspective and support for helping junior enlisted service members stay connected to home.
