NEWS: After years of hard work and advocacy, I am thrilled to announce that we have secured $20 million in funding available for a new middle school in Pike County, Ohio.

This would not have been possible without the tireless work of my colleagues U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown and Representative Marcy Kaptur. I thank them for their commitment to this deserving community.

I also want to thank Senate Energy and Natural Resources Chairman Senator Joe Manchin III for coming to this community, seeing the hardship, and taking up this cause.

While no amount of federal funding can replace the lives lost and sacrifices made by this community for its decades of service toward our national security, this funding will ensure the children of Pike County receive a quality education in a safe environment. This work must continue.
