See you this weekend at the Friends of the SW Library sale!

Since our last sale, we've:

--Purchased jewelry making supplies, candle making supplies, and fans for Southwest Library’s Art All Night in September.
--Refreshed and restocked the Library’s supply of board games and playing cards.
--Refreshed children’s room necessities like play doh, blocks, and games.
--Provided supplies for Halloween Costume Exchange and pumpkin decorating session on October 27.

We've been busy in the neighborhood! Here are some pictures from a recent Sip and Paint event and the Back to School event near the King-Greenleaf Recreation Center on Saturday. And our next book sale at the library is September 21 and 22. Stay tuned for more info! 📚♥

This week is Little Free Library week! We are so fortunate in SW DC to have a generous supply of donated books some of which we distribute to several Little Free Libraries in the city especially to the 5 we have in our SW neighborhood. It is very gratifying to see people from all backgrounds come up to the libraries, take a look at the books and pick some out to read.

First day of the FSWL book sale was a success! Come by tomorrow from 1 to 3:00pm to buy some great books (most are $1) and support library programs and activities. Thank you!
