بعد نهاية المفاوضات بين لبنان والولايات المتحدة الأميركية وإسرائيل ليل اليوم في واشنطن ، صدر عن الوفد اللبناني البيان الاتي :

"اختتم الوفد اللبناني يومين من المفاوضات في وزارة الخارجية الأميركية في واشنطن.

وقد أفضت المفاوضات الثلاثية التي جمعت لبنان والولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل إلى تحقيق تقدّم دبلوماسي ملموس لصالح لبنان، حيث اتفقت الأطراف على تمديد وقف إطلاق النار القائم لمدة إضافية تبلغ 45 يوماً، بما يتيح إطلاق مسار أمني برعاية وتسهيل من الولايات المتحدة اعتباراً من 29 أيار، ويساهم في تثبيت الزخم السياسي الذي تحقق خلال الأيام الأخيرة.

أبرز النتائج :

• الاتفاق على تمديد وقف إطلاق النار لمدة 45 يوماً إضافية بالتوازي مع التقدم في المسارين الأمني والسياسي.

• إطلاق مسار سياسي رسمي يعكس انخراط لبنان البنّاء في المفاوضات، ويعزز فرص التوصل إلى تسوية سلمية دائمة.
ومن المقرر أن يُعقد الاجتماع المقبل يومي 2 و3 حزيران في وزارة الخارجية الأميركية في واشنطن.

• ستتولى الولايات المتحدة تسهيل وتعزيز قنوات التواصل والتنسيق العسكري بين لبنان وإسرائيل بصورة استباقية، بما يشمل مساراً أمنياً يُفترض أن ينطلق في 29 أيار في مقر وزارة الدفاع الأميركية (البنتاغون) في واشنطن.

• التزام الأطراف مراجعة التقدم المحرز بهدف تمديد وقف إطلاق النار لفترة إضافية في حال أسفرت مسارات التفاوض عن نتائج إيجابية.

يرحب الوفد اللبناني بالنتائج التي تم التوصل إليها اليوم. إن تمديد وقف إطلاق النار وإطلاق مسار أمني برعاية أميركية يوفّران هامشاً ضرورياً من الاستقرار لشعبنا، ويعززان مؤسسات الدولة، ويفتحان مساراً سياسياً نحو تهدئة واستقرار دائمين. وسيواصل لبنان انخراطه البنّاء في المفاوضات، بالتوازي مع التمسك بسيادته وحماية أمن مواطنيه وسلامتهم.

ويؤكد الوفد التزامه الثابت بالتوصل إلى اتفاق يعيد بصورة كاملة السيادة الوطنية اللبنانية، ويضمن أمن جميع المواطنين وعودتهم. ويتمثل هدفنا في تحويل الزخم الحالي لوقف إطلاق النار إلى اتفاق شامل ودائم يصون كرامة الشعب اللبناني وأمنه ومستقبله.

الركائز الأساسية للموقف اللبناني :

• استعادة السيادة:
تتمثل الأولوية القصوى للبنان في استعادة سلطة الدولة الكاملة على كامل الأراضي اللبنانية، بما يضمن حماية الحدود، وصون السيادة الوطنية، وتأمين سلامة المواطنين.

• عودة النازحين وإعادة الإعمار:
يواصل لبنان التزامه بتأمين العودة الآمنة والكريمة للمدنيين النازحين إلى الجنوب، بدعم من مساعدات اقتصادية فاعلة وجهود إعادة إعمار مستدامة.

• الإفراج عن المحتجزين واستعادة الرفات:
يواصل لبنان العمل من أجل الإفراج عن جميع اللبنانيين المحتجزين واستعادة رفات الشهداء والمتوفين.

• آلية تحقق مستقلة:
لتفادي إخفاقات الترتيبات السابقة، يتمسك لبنان بآلية تنفيذ مرحلية وقابلة للتحقق، مدعومة بضمانات أميركية، بما يضمن تنفيذ جميع الالتزامات من دون المساس بالسيادة اللبنانية.

إن لبنان يتفاوض من أجل مستقبل تُحترم فيه حدوده، وتُصان سيادته حصراً عبر مؤسساته الشرعية وفي مقدّمها الجيش اللبناني، ويتمكن شعبه من العيش بأمن وسلام واستقرار دائمين

Lebanon Secures 45-Day Ceasefire Extension and U.S.-Facilitated Political and Security Tracks in Support of Stability and Sovereignty

The Lebanese delegation concluded two days of negotiations at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, DC. The trilateral negotiations involving Lebanon, the United States, and Israel produced meaningful diplomatic progress for Lebanon. The parties agreed to extend the current ceasefire for an additional 45 days to allow a U.S.-facilitated security track to commence on May 29 and to consolidate the political momentum achieved in recent days.

Key Outcomes

• A 45-day extension of the ceasefire has been agreed upon while the security and political tracks advance.

• A formal political track has been initiated, reflecting Lebanon’s constructive engagement and strengthening prospects for a durable peaceful resolution. The next meeting will take place on June 2-3, 2026 at the State Department in Washington, DC.

• The United States will proactively facilitate enhanced military-to-military communication and coordination between Lebanon and Israel, via a security track scheduled to launch on May 29 at the Pentagon in Washington, DC.

• The parties committed to reviewing progress with the objective of extending the ceasefire further should the negotiation tracks yield positive results.

The Lebanese delegation welcomes today’s outcome. The extension of the ceasefire and the establishment of a U.S.-facilitated security track provide critical breathing space for our citizens, reinforce state institutions, and advance a political pathway toward lasting stability. Lebanon will continue to engage constructively in negotiations while safeguarding its sovereignty and protecting the safety of its people.

The delegation reaffirms its unwavering commitment to reaching an agreement that fully restores Lebanon’s national sovereignty and guarantees the safety and return of all its citizens. Our objective is to transform the current ceasefire momentum into a comprehensive and lasting agreement that safeguards the dignity, security, and future of the Lebanese people.

Key Pillars of the Lebanese Position

• Restoration of Sovereignty: Lebanon’s foremost priority is the full restoration of state authority across all Lebanese territory in order to protect its borders, uphold national sovereignty, and ensure the security of its people.

• Return of the Displaced and Reconstruction: Lebanon remains committed to the safe and dignified return of displaced civilians to the South, supported by meaningful economic assistance and sustained reconstruction efforts.

• Release of Detainees and Recovery of Remains: Lebanon continues to advocate for the return of all Lebanese detainees and the recovery of the remains of the deceased.

• Independent Verification Mechanism: To avoid the failures of previous arrangements, Lebanon insists on a phased and verifiable implementation process, supported by the United States, to ensure that all commitments are fulfilled without compromising Lebanese sovereignty.

Lebanon is negotiating for a future in which its borders are respected, its sovereignty is upheld solely by its Lebanese Armed Forces, and its people can live in lasting peace and security.

On March 26, the Embassy of Lebanon in Washington, D.C. welcomed students from Spartanburg Community College in South Carolina who will represent Lebanon at the National Model Arab League conference organized by the National Council on U.S.–Arab Relations (NCUSAR). The delegation engaged in a thoughtful discussion with the Embassy team including Deputy Chief of Mission Mr. Wissam Boutros and Consuls Ms. Dana Ghazle and Mr. Khaled Hamadeh, on Lebanon’s positions regarding key Arab and regional issues. The visit offered the students valuable insights as they prepare to assume Lebanon’s role in the conference and underscored the importance of fostering informed dialogue with future leaders.
