This morning, I spoke with CNN’s Sarah Sidner to talk about the inhumane conditions people inside Delaney Hall are suffering from and the GEO Group’s corrupt dealings with Donald Trump.

What we’re seeing with our own eyes is un-American. Congress must hold the President accountable for the standards at ICE detention centers and the money he’s spending on them.

This morning, I spoke to Ali Velshi about the latest developments at Delaney Hall. What's happening inside Delaney Hall is brutal, it is inhuman, it is undemocratic, and it is dangerous. And it has to stop.

What we have seen with our own eyes is yet another clear example of the Trump administration’s intent to ignore 1st amendment protections, stonewall legal oversight, and violently quell any dissent from his opposition.

Considering the free reign ICE was given to blatantly attack demonstrators outside in front of cameras, hiding what’s really happening inside the facility raises the serious question of just how depraved the conditions are for detainees.

It must end. I am calling on Congressional leadership on both sides to demand that Trump and DHS Secretary Mullin stand down so detainees can receive proper medical attention. I’m also in contact with the NJ Attorney General’s office and working with my colleagues in the NJ delegation to end this violence, uphold the rule of law and defend the constitution.

One of the great privileges of representing New Jersey is getting to know our incredible Muslim community, whose traditions are rooted in love and togetherness.

As Eid al-Adha begins tonight, I’m wishing peace and joy to our friends and neighbors celebrating across our state, and beyond.

Eid Mubarak.

DHS Secretary throws a tantrum because the American people are rejecting Trump’s authoritarianism and elected officials are ensuring the rights of detainees are being protected.

Take a moment today to honor the brave Americans who died while fighting to keep our nation free for all people. They made the ultimate sacrifice for our democracy and we owe them a debt we can never fully repay.
