Every day, officers across America walk towards danger on behalf of people they may never meet. They protect our neighborhoods, our schools, our families, and our way of life… all at great personal risk.

Today I spoke on the House floor to say thank you to the men and women who make up the Thin Blue Line and honor the the memory of Southwest Michigan officers who have died in the line of duty including Berrien County Deputy Sheriff Elton C. Stover, Mattawan Police Officer Scot A. Beyerstedt, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Officer Eric Zapata, and Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Ryan Joseph Proxmire.

To the families of the fallen. We honor your loss. We stand with you and we grieve with you.

To the officers and their families serving today in Southwest Michigan and across America, thank you.

As your voice in Washington, I will continue to support policies that back the blue and make sure our men and women in law enforcement have the resources they need.

Last evening, I joined my colleagues to honor the memory of law enforcement officers who were killed in the line of duty. We also prayed for the family of fallen officers as well as the men and women who serve and protect our communities. May God watch over those who stand on the Thin Blue Line.

My Republican Colleagues and I are committed to ensuring the men and women in law enforcement have the resources they need to serve our communities and safely return home to their families.

It was great to join Christoper Krauss and his family in Kalamazoo where they were presented with the keys to a new payment free Chevy Traverse!

Christopher served our nation in the US Army and earned a Purple Heart while deployed to Iraq where he was injured multiple times during combat operations. He and his wife live in Hamilton where they are raising five boys.

During the ceremony, I presented Chris with a flag as thank you for his service and to commemorate the 250th Anniversary of our nation.

Thank you to DeNooyer Chevrolet for hosting this wonderful event. I also want to say thank you to the Military Warrior Support Foundation and Wells Fargo for supporting our veteran community, active duty service members, and gold star families.

On VE Day, we honor the Americans and Allied Forces who fought to save the free world from tyranny and preserve the civilization we know today.

Their courage defended liberty at one of history’s darkest moments and secured the future of the West for generations to come.

Please join me in remembering their service and sacrifice with gratitude. 🇺🇸

Today on this National Day of Prayer, Americans across Southwest Michigan and around the nation come together to honor and acknowledge the power of prayer.

Please join me in praying for our nation and may God continue to bless America.

Elizabeth Warren celebrated blocking the merger of Spirit & Jet Blue in 2024 and called it a “Biden Win”.

Now, travelers will face higher costs, have fewer choices, and thousands of Americans are unemployed. This is the direct result of her socialist “win”.
