DeaNa and I want to thank everyone for the very kind words. It certainly was an honor to serve you for this season of life. If you want to stay in touch please follow me on twitter Congressman Reid Ribble
Congressman Reid Ribble
Former Member of Congress at WI-08
As I leave the U.S. House of Representatives, I want everyone to know how proud I was to work with some amazing people. The "Member" of Congress always gets the praise and thanks for work that is done. But NONE of that work was done without the tireless efforts of the men and women who worked behind the scenes. I want you to know who they are. Anything good you saw in me, it was because of these extraordinary men and women. (The bad things you saw?.... that was pretty much just me.)

Finally, my time in Congress would not be complete without telling you how much support I received from my wife, DeaNa Ribble. She has worked relentlessly for the last six years. She has given countless Wisconsinites tours of the Capitol, Library of Congress, and White House, worked on special events, and propped me up more times than I can say - all without a penny of pay or a single word of complaint.
I love you all,
Reid Ribble

When I took office six years ago as a Member of the House of Representatives, my prayer was always to be faithful to the promises I made--to serve without fear and to leave without regret.
What I meant by that is I wanted to conduct myself in a manner that would honor you and my country. Because of you I was able to do that. Thank you for that opportunity.

It has been an honor to represent you. Because of you, I was able to stretch out my hand in the dark and for just a moment touch the face of history. I have often told you I wanted to go to DC for our grandchildren. I wanted to make sure - to the degree possible - that the decisions being made were done in a manner to improve their lives. I never forgot that. I thought of my own grandchildren constantly… and when I did I remembered your children as well.

Thank you for allowing me to be your Representative. Because of you, I was able to go to our nation’s capital
and be your voice. I was able to tell policy makers what
YOU thought of their ideas. I weighed in on your behalf
and I did so with you in mind.

Because of you, I was able to walk the same halls of the U.S. Capitol that John Quincy Adams, Abraham Lincoln and
others walked. I was able for a moment of time to be a part of this great American experiment. What I saw was both
encouraging and frustrating all at the same time - and that is not new. Together, we were one small piece of our
great republic. Thank you for the opportunity to represent you.

It's been an honor to serve as your Congressman, and I deeply appreciate it. Because of you I was able to attend the Honor and Glory flights that flew out of Appleton and Green Bay to Washington
DC to bring World War II and Korean War veterans to see their memorials first hand. I watched these amazing heroes
weep at the sight of it all and was reminded of the heritage that generation has given us.

Thank you for the honor of serving as your Congressman. Because of you I had opportunities to work with our veterans and active duty military. I witnessed amazing sacrifices and acts of service. I visited our soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines, reservists, national guardsmen and coast guardsmen where they worked. I saw them both defend our nation’s values and maybe even more importantly, I saw them demonstrate our values around the world. It’s incredible what they have done and continue to selflessly do on our behalf.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your Congressman. Because of you I observed firsthand all of the great things we make in NE Wisconsin. From our ever-growing agriculture businesses to heavy manufacturing and construction, I am amazed by all the things Wisconsinites do to make our lives better. It’s incredible to see a brand new Littoral Combat Ship being launched in Marinette and realize that this great ship was hand crafted by our neighbors. You inspire me!

Christmas typically makes us feel nostalgic. I know it does for me. For about nine years of my life, I owned a record label in Nashville. It was my honor to produce a number of CDs and videos of this band. People often asked me how good were the actual players in the band? It's pretty easy to “fake it” in the studio or simply hire session players to do the recordings. It’s nearly impossible to do that live. So here is one song that demonstrates how good these guys actually were and if it reminds you of Christmases past, well that’s even better. It’s from the video “Winter Wonderland” produced by Reel Loud Records.
Merry Christmas everyone!
