No one seems to be reporting the whole story just yet so you'll get the USPP details here first: At approximately 3:05 p.m. today, U.S. Park Police were alerted to an active incident in Greenbelt, Maryland, involving multiple carjackings and shootings across several locations. Our officers responded to the scene, located the armed suspect who was attempting another carjacking, and took the individual into custody without incident. Due to reports of multiple victims at several locations, USPP Aviation launched alongside HHS and ATF tactical medics to support the response.
This is another prime example of law enforcement partnership. Watch/listen to the details or on X. Major kudos to all involved! Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims in the hospital tonight.
