TACTICAL AIRSOFT TAKEOVER!
Yesterday, our Marines took over the Tactical Airsoft Arena, and things got intense. Strategies were made, alliances were broken, and a whole lot of plastic BBs were flying! 💥
From clearing corners to epic final stands, everyone brought their A-game. It turns out a little friendly competition is the perfect way to spend a day off. Massive shoutout to everyone who came out and made it an awesome trip—you definitely earned those bragging rights!

Some of the strongest leadership happens on a youth soccer field.
Military kids move.
They adapt.
They restart.
They keep pushing forward.
Now, if that isn’t motivating enough to be a coach that shows up, we don’t know what is.
Volunteering with Youth Sports is more than the sport; it’s about resilience, confidence building, teamwork models, and, ultimately, strengthening the community.
Share this with someone who would be a great coach!

Long weekends. Lake days. Beach trips. BBQ grill days. Summer’s earned. Guard your progress, don’t let one careless
moment undo a good day. A few solid reminders:
• Hydrate early (not just when you’re overheated)
• Be smart about alcohol in extreme heat
• Skip drinking when swimming or boating
• Wear a life jacket every time (yes, even if you know how to swim!)
• Use the buddy system
• Check the forecast
Alcohol slows reaction time and judgement, and heat can make it worse. Water doesn’t give second chances.

What a day! 🙌 We took a crew of Marines out to Busch Gardens today, and to say we had a blast is a massive understatement.
Here is how the Single Marine Program (SMP) does a theme park day:
🎢 Zero Lines, All the Thrills: We basically had the park to ourselves! The lines were non-existent, meaning everyone got to ride (every single coaster) more than once.
🍔 A Global Feast: We ate our way through the world, stuffing our faces with incredible food from different countries.
🐑 The VIP Animal Lineup: Between the thrills, we hung out with the famous Clydesdales, some friendly sheep, and those majestic, fluffy Highland cows!
We love being able to get you guys out of the barracks to unwind, eat good food, and scream your lungs out on some roller coasters. Huge thanks to all the Marines who came out and made today such a great trip!
Where should SMP take you next? Drop your ideas in the comments! 👇📸

Making informed decisions about alcohol supports your long-term health, performance, and readiness. If you’re looking to
build healthier habits, consider:
• Tracking how much and how often you drink.
• Setting personal limits before social events.
• Alternating alcoholic drinks with water.
• Talking with a trusted friend or leader about your goals.
Support is here if cutting back feels difficult. Protect your health, protect your readiness.

You can’t lead Marines well if you ignore their well-being.
Capt. Choi and GySgt Castro were recognized as FY24 Su***de Prevention Program Officers of the Year for doing exactly that:
• Building connected units.
• Promoting early help-seeking.
• Embedding prevention into daily operations.
Su***de prevention isn’t separate from readiness – it’s a climate where Marines speak up early. Let’s celebrate these Marines
for setting the example! 🦅RAH!
