The team at Genesys Works National Capital Region is incredibly grateful for Dr. Selvon M. Waldron. In four years as Executive Director of GWNCR, he doubled the number of Young Professionals GWNCR serves each year, piloted programs to better serve those youth, built new relationships with corporate, funder and community partners, and significantly strengthened GWNCR’s existing partnerships. His driving force – the youth GWNCR serves – was evident and left a lasting impression on our Young Professionals.

Through his leadership, passion, and dedication, Dr. Waldron advanced engagement with the Advisory Board, founded GWNCR’s first Alumni Advisory Council, and inspired a talented team of GWNCR staff. He also generously took time to mentor Young Professionals and GWNCR staff, sharing his personal story, providing encouragement, and inspiring others to triumph over their challenges and adversities. We will miss him greatly and wish him the best in all his future endeavors!
