Our team gathered to honor that long-standing tradition. Standing together outside the Embassy, we are proud to be part of the global movement striving to make these values a reality—in our workplace and beyond.

Intern for a day on Capitol Hill — Building the next generation of transatlantic leadership.

Diplomacy isn’t just about high-level meetings, it’s about the next generation of leaders learning from one another.

Earlier this week, our intern Jacob Green-Pedersen traded the Embassy for Capitol Hill, spending a day with the office of Senator Jim Justice (R-WV).

From deep-dives into congressional policy to exchanging perspectives with Senator’s talented staff, Jacob gained valuable insights into the diplomatic work and the state of West Virginia.

The highlight? Proving that diplomacy can happen at every level – including a four-legged kind, Jacob joined the iconic for a local dog parade!

24 February 2026, marks the fourth year of the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine - and every day since, Ukraine has been fighting a brave battle for their own and Europe’s security.

This winter, Russia has deliberately targeted Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, and with temperatures dropping as low as -20°C, it is critical when electricity and heating are cut off.

Denmark has provided a total of approximately EUR 10.8 billion in support to Ukraine. This includes approximately EUR 128 million in support to Ukraine’s energy sector since 2022.
