For more than 178 years, Washington Gas has partnered with organizations that help strengthen the communities we serve across the DMV.

Today, we're proud to announce more than $622,700 in Community Investment grants to 57 local nonprofit organizations, building on our inaugural grant cycle earlier this year. These investments support programs focused on food security, education, workforce development, and other initiatives that help our communities thrive.

We're grateful to these organizations for the meaningful work they do every day and we remain committed to working together to support the strength and well-being of the communities we serve. 🤝

𝐃𝐂 𝐂𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬: Washington Gas is continuing its Mercury Service Regulator Replacement Program to identify and replace remaining mercury service regulators at no cost to affected customers. In support of the District of Columbia Mercury Service Regulator Replacement Program, Contractor Services will be initiating the DC termination effort beginning the first week of October.

If you received a service termination notice for the required regulator survey or regulator replacement: please schedule the required work as soon as possible to avoid service interruption.

We appreciate your coordination with this important safety initiative. You may check the status of your service location and learn more about the program at washingtongas.com/msrrp.

Last Friday, our team proudly partnered with Volunteer Fairfax for VolunteerFest 2026, joining other sponsors and organizations to pack over 100,000 nutritious meals for neighbors facing food insecurity. 🥗

Thank you to Volunteer Fairfax for the opportunity to participate and for the important work you do to support our communities. We're proud to be and the people we serve.

As we wrap up our Energy for Good Seven Days of Service, we're so grateful for the opportunities we've had to give back to our communities alongside organizations making a difference across the DMV.

Over the past seven days, our employees proudly volunteered 400+ hours through 10 dedicated events. Together, we:

🔷Prepared 650 salads with DC Central Kitchen
🔷 Supported warehouse operations at A Wider Circle and packed 300 snack bags
🔷Assembled 350 snack packs for Northern Virginia Family Services
🔷Packed food boxes with Capital Area Food Bank
🔷Sorted diapers with Greater DC Diaper Bank
🔷Prepared meals for families staying at Ronald McDonald House
🔷Built homes with Habitat for Humanity Metro Maryland
🔷Reached 155 people through smoke detector installation in homes or safety education with the American Red Cross

At Washington Gas, we're committed to investing in the strength and well-being of the communities we serve. Today marks the start of our Seven Days of Service, a week of focused employee volunteering with partners throughout the DMV.

We kicked things off this morning at A Wider Circle's warehouse in Silver Spring, in support of their mission to advance equity in the greater DC area by fostering the exchange of goods, skills, and connections.

We're grateful for the opportunity to contribute our time and support the organizations doing this important work every day.
