The Wanda Alston Foundation provides housing and support for LGBTQ+ youth, 18-24, experiencing homelessness.
The Wanda Alston House is a transitional housing center for LGBTQ teens aged 16 to 24. It is a three-story, eight-bedroom brick building and is located in NE Washington, D.C. It is named after Wanda Alston, a local lesbian activist and the first Director of the Mayor Office of LGBTQ Affairs.
