Federal taxpayers subsidized 1,719 Obamacare health plans that cover elective abortion in 2026, and those plans enrolled an estimated 4.4 million people, according to a Government Accountability Office report released Tuesday at the request of Alabama Congressman Robert Aderholt and Republican leaders in both chambers.

It was great to be joined today by HRSA Administrator Tom Engels at Lakeland Community Hospital in Haleyville, AL, and Capstone Health Clinic in Nauvoo, AL, as we celebrated important investments in rural healthcare through the Rural Hospital Provider Assistance Program.

Rural hospitals are essential to the health and well-being of our communities, and I look forward to seeing this investment help ensure Alabamians, and rural citizens across the country, can continue to receive quality healthcare close to home.

Caroline and I are officially grandparents! Meet Clifton Robert Whitt!

Clifton was born this morning, weighing 9 pounds, 1 ounce and measuring 21 inches long. Our daughter, Mary Elliott, is doing great, and both she and Grant are so excited and thankful for this precious blessing from God.
