🚲✨ Hundreds of DCPS second graders celebrated “Graduation on Wheels” at Kenilworth Park, showing off the skills they built through their “Biking in the Park” Cornerstone.

For 300 students in Wards 7 and 8, the milestone also came with brand-new bikes, helmets, and locks to take home. Our scholars are ready to explore their communities this summer! 🌳🚴‍♀️

🗣️Over the course of School Year 2025-2026, groups of students, parents, teachers, and principals have dug into math learning, attendance, Power Practices, special education, and more. Separately and together, they've talked candidly about what's working and where DCPS still has more to do.

Last week, Chancellor Ferebee convened the Joint Advisory Board one final time and put the real work on the table.

Our community's voices helped shape decisions this year and will continue to guide how we strengthen our work across DCPS.
