Today is Mental Health Awareness in Agriculture Day—an opportunity to reflect on the unique challenges producers face as they work to feed, fuel, and clothe America. Today and every day, we thank our farmers and ranchers for the vital work they do in their fields, pastures, and barns.
The House Committee on Agriculture remains committed to supporting our hardworking producers through meaningful ag policy—from historic investments in the farm safety net last summer to expanding credit access in the 2026 farm bill.

Congress is currently debating the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026, but the farm bill was not WRITTEN in Congress.
The 2026 farm bill was written out in the fields, pastures, and town halls of America. The House Committee on Agriculture traveled coast to coast to hear from producers and rural communities, and every provision in the bill is directly based on what the committee learned during these listening sessions.
