💬 Incoming We Rise! Riser Trina David, a Sky Harbor Airport ramp worker, spoke directly to the Governor, bringing real worker experiences into the conversation.
The Arizona Heat Standards Coalition looks forward to continuing this work with the Industrial Commission of Arizona to ensure every worker is protected from extreme heat.
No worker should have to choose between their health and their paycheck.

Extreme heat and dangerous working conditions can put pregnant workers and their pregnancies at risk.

Too many workers are forced to choose between their health and their paycheck. But workers have rights.

Arizona is considering new workplace heat safety rules this week—but local protections alone aren’t enough.
As KJZZ reports, said Katelyn Parady, Deputy Director of the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health emphasized:
“These local ordinances are super important. But they only cover a really small group of workers.”
