The Monrovia Police Department will get an upgraded radio communication system and IT tools, after I presented officers with a $1,031,000 check to modernize their communication center, fulfilling a critical gap for the agency with regional public safety resources. These resources will allow our police officers to be more responsive to all residents within the City of Monrovia, building a safer community for all.

I presented a $850,000 check for the City of San Dimas Canyon Road Multi-modal Transportation Improvement Project to increase access to recreational facilities and outdoor activities. This financial investment will allow the city to extend the bikeway, upgrade accessibility ramps, and improve roadways, promoting better access to hiking trails, camping areas, soccer fields, regional parks, and the equestrian center.

This week, I presented a $1,031,000 check to the City of La Verne to modernize technology that will enable first responders to efficiently serve the community. I’m proud we delivered critical resources.

Park improvements are coming to La Puente Park, with an $820,000 investment enhancing community access to the neighborhood park by promoting pedestrian safety through updated security lighting and new interactive playground equipment. These investments will create a safer place for kids to play and neighbors to connect, helping the community thrive.

Congressional Republicans are refusing to bring us back to vote on a War Powers Resolution, shirking their oversight duties, and abdicating all Congressional power to fuel the President’s genocidal ambitions.

Bring Congress back and stop playing with the lives of civilians.

This Deputy was stationed in San Dimas and his loss will be felt by the entire San Dimas community and the 31st Congressional District. My prayers are with the Deputy’s family, friends, and colleagues as we mourn this tragic loss.
