When we talk about sustainability, we should be talking about the future of the profession itself.
That is one of the ideas at the center of my latest article.

Behind every title is a person carrying real demands, responsibilities, and seasons of life.
I wrote about that in my latest Florida Bar Journal article.

One of the meaningful parts of contributing to this conversation was the chance to put one of my own convictions into writing.
The Architecture of Belonging: Building a Bar with a Seat for Everyone reflects on why the profession must create spaces where lawyers can belong, grow, and lead through every season of their careers.
This piece is ultimately about building a healthier profession, one that makes room for people, not just roles.

A meaningful moment in my legal career.
I was honored to serve as the Guest Editor of the Florida Bar Journal for Volume 100, No. 2 (March/April 2026), which focuses on professional sustainability in the legal profession.
The opportunity came through an appointment by Sia Baker-Barnes, President of The Florida Bar.
I’ve had the privilege of writing for the Journal before, but serving as Guest Editor offered a different perspective on how ideas move through the profession. The editorial process reminded me how important thoughtful dialogue is for the future of law.
Professional sustainability is not just about avoiding burnout. It is about building careers and leadership structures that allow lawyers to perform at a high level over the long term.
I’m grateful to have contributed to that conversation and to everyone who helped make this issue possible.

Executive presence isn’t about titles or talking the loudest — it’s about the clarity, confidence, and strategic calm leaders bring to every room. In today’s environment, firms need leaders who can communicate vision, navigate complexity, and inspire trust.
I’ll be presenting on this topic today at 12:00 PM EST, sharing practical frameworks for strengthening your executive presence and leading with purpose.

Have you ever walked out of a call thinking, “Why did I explain that so much?"
I have. And I learned the hard way that executive presence is not about being louder. It is about being clearer, calmer, and more intentional when it matters.
That is what I’m covering in February Forward Focus.
I will share a simple framework you can use immediately to:
✅ speak with authority without rambling
✅ stay composed when the pressure rises
✅ hold the room in meetings and negotiations
✅ make your decisions feel final and confident
Live-only bonus: Executive Presence worksheet + prompt pack.
Last session hit 150 registrants, so do not wait.
