We celebrated our monthly PBIS assembly this morning. First, Ms. Courtney congratulated our Stars of the week. Then, we heard from Ms. Tara, who spoke candidly about neurodiversity, and finally, our PTSA President, Ms. Queen, celebrated all our Read-a-thon winners. πβοΈ

In our focus on global citizenship, we had a wonderful celebration of Caribbean culture this week, first on a Thursday with a fair for students to learn about each country, its food and its customs, and on Friday with a joyous Carnival celebration featuring the Sela cheer squads. π«ΆπΎ

Students in 3rd through 5th grade participated in a contest at DC Bilingual, sponsored by Math League. Third graders Asher and Matilda came in 3rd and 5th place, respectively, in the third-grade division!

We were unbelievably excited excited to celebrate the opening of our Wallholla playground today with our ribbon-cutting ceremony. We were honored to have Councilmember Janeese Lewis George speak at the event, and our cheerleaders stole the show! π£
