πYESTERDAY, LIGHT SHINED BRIGHT ON GEORGIA AVENUE! π
We are deeply grateful to the Washington Metropolitan Police Dept. β 4D for joining Emory Beacon of Light and Emory Fellowship: A United Methodist Congregation in service during this yearβs Faith & Blue Weekend.
Together, we distributed food, body wash, detergent, lotion, and other essential household supplies through The Beacon Basket β meeting real needs and lifting spirits. π
What touched us most wasnβt just the supplies, but the sight of officers and neighbors serving side by side, helping one another with genuine care and respect. We know that sometimes uniforms can make people pause, but yesterday they became symbols of partnership and hope.
Thank you, MPD 4th District, for walking with us β not ahead of us or behind us β but beside us. Every act of kindness helped ILLUMINATE PATHWAYS TO HOPE across Ward 4.
