Standing out among a highly competitive headquarters workforce, these three exceptional individuals power the Navy's Shore Enterprise:
🏆 Bertha Clay, Supervisory Civilian of the Year: As Director of Civilian Human Resources, she masterfully steered the workforce through complex HR reforms, seamlessly integrating over 2,500 new employees while championing employee wellness.
🏆 Brighid Patterson, Senior Non-Supervisory Civilian of the Year: A trailblazer in data analytics, she developed the CNIC commander’s dashboard, providing real-time insights into installation operations and sharpening decision-making across the Shore Enterprise.
🏆 Antoinelle Hansley, Junior Non-Supervisory Civilian of the Year: A driving force behind fiscal accountability, she meticulously processed 42 complex contract packages valued at $43.7 million, preventing delays and keeping our command strictly audit-ready.

Transforming the Sailor Experience 🏗️
and we’re highlighting the incredible progress at NAS Meridian and Navy Region Southeast! As a key part of the and our initiative, this $5.4 million project is breathing new life into the Naval Technical Training Center (NTTC) barracks.
Originally constructed in 1975, these facilities are being transformed to meet the standards our modern fleet deserves. With 3,800 Sailors graduating from NTTC annually, providing a quality home is essential to their success from day one.
The Transformation Highlights:
✅ Safety & Structure: Full replacement of handrails and extensive exterior work, including roof repairs and fresh paint.
✅Modernized Essentials: Comprehensive stairwell renovations to improve safety and aesthetics.
✅Infrastructure & Landscaping: New flower and shrub bed projects designed to prevent soil erosion and keep the grounds pristine.
✅Recreation & Wellness: Refurbished basketball courts to ensure our Sailors have top-tier spaces to stay active and build camaraderie.
From the ground up, we're investing in the infrastructure that supports our people. By putting Sailors First, we ensure that NAS Meridian remains a world-class installation for the next generation of Navy leaders.

Vice Adm. Scott Gray, CNIC, and the Honorable Brendan Rogers, ASN for EI&E, visited NAS Key West to tour ongoing family housing renovations and meet with installation leadership. The visit highlighted the Navy’s continued investment in Quality of Service initiatives that strengthen readiness. Providing exceptional support ashore remains a critical part of building and sustaining a ready, resilient force.

at Naval Base Kitsap-Bremerton 🏆
The full interior renovation of this 10-story Unaccompanied Housing building is complete—a full 30 days ahead of schedule! This project, fast-tracked after fire and water damage, was finished in just over seven months, delivering 304 modern beds and directly supporting our commitment and the "No Sailor Lives Afloat" initiative.
From a brand-new movie room with recliners to completely updated living spaces, this is what putting our Sailors first looks like. It’s a direct result of the Navy’s Barracks Task Force focus on improving quality of life.
As NAVFAC Northwest's Capt. Preston Taylor said, "Providing high-quality, safe, and comfortable housing is fundamental to ensuring our service members are mission-ready. The speed and quality of this renovation underscore our dedication to putting our Sailors first."
A huge Bravo Zulu to the teams at NAVFAC Northwest, Naval Base Kitsap, and U.S. Navy Region Northwest for making this happen!

🚧 Upgrading the Standard of Living at CFAY 🏗️
Shout Out to Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka and Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Japan on making massive headway on this modernization project.
To improve the quality of life for our U.S. Navy Sailors, these buildings are receiving a complete refit of major mechanical and electrical systems. We're also installing brand-new bedroom doors and insulated windows. What does this mean for our residents? Vastly improved control over noise, temperature, and humidity in their living spaces!
CFAY is also constructing a multi-level steel parking structure designed to provide approximately 460 privately-owned vehicles serving the Kyuban and Jyuban Unaccompanied Housing (UH) Towers.
Providing a comfortable, modern place to call home is essential for our forward-deployed forces.

🧑🏼🚒 Meet the Navy’s Newest Firefighters 🔥
Twenty of our dedicated Navy Reserve Sailors graduated from the intensive Navy Fire Academy, earning their certification as official Navy Firefighters!
Held at the historic Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, the ceremony marked the end of a grueling 60-day training pipeline. They completed over 320 hours of instruction, including live-fire scenarios, emergency medical response, and specialized Airport Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) training.
As CAPT Bill Lane, deputy director of operations for Commander, Navy Installations Command, told the graduates, “These graduates are entering a profession that is the absolute bedrock of safety for our installations... When crisis strikes, they are the calm in the chaos. They are the help that is on the way.”
These newly qualified firefighters will now integrate with fire and emergency services teams across our 70 installations worldwide, bringing a unique blend of civilian expertise and military training to protect our people, our infrastructure, and our mission.
