Trash, recycling, and food waste collections continue throughout the District. If your trash or recycling is not collected on your scheduled day, please leave your bins out, as missed collections will be prioritized the following day.
If materials have not been collected within two days, residents should report the issue to 311.

Treat today with the “great weight” it deserves, because *50* years ago today, the District held the 1st-ever election of Advisory Neighborhood Commissioners. The challenges faced in that election echo those tackled by our ANC commissioners today. Thanks so much for your service!

We’ve made strong progress on trash and recycling collection across the District this weekend.
Normal collection schedules for both frontside and alley-served homes will resume.
What to expect this week:
• Frontside collection: Please place trash and recycling cans out front on your regular pickup day.
• Alley collection: Crews are using Bobcats to clear pathways to bins. Please place cans out on your regular pickup day and leave them out until they are collected.
Thank you for your patience as crews continue post-storm recovery efforts.

If your trash, recycling, or food waste collection is delayed, keep your containers at the point of collection.
Crews may arrive later than usual or return once conditions improve. Bringing containers back too early may cause you to miss service once the route resumes.
