More than 20 years ago, Street Sense's Frederic John approached a filmmaker, hoping to produce an original movie. Instead, the pair spent years chronicling their struggles, art, and journeys around the city, resulting in the documentary "BILLY LUCK."

D.C. cleared 16 encampments from the end of March to the end of April. Most of the encampments had only one resident, evidence of a continued shift to smaller, scattered sites in the wake of the federal takeover.
