I voted for the War Powers Resolution because no administration should drag our country deeper into conflict without a plan to win or an exit strategy. For 95 days, working families paid the price through higher costs at the grocery store and the gas pump while taxpayers footed the bill. We owe our troops a clear mission and the American people accountability.

I conducted an oversight visit at the Adelanto ICE facility following reports of a detainee hunger strike. When people are willing to risk their health to protest inhumane conditions, Congress has a responsibility to investigate and listen.
No one in federal custody should be denied basic human dignity, medical care, or nutritious food. I’ll continue demanding transparency and accountability from ICE and DHS. 👇

Happy 100th birthday, Trinidad!
It was an honor to celebrate this incredible milestone and officially enter your legacy into the Congressional Record. For more than 60 years, Trinidad has been a cherished part of the Pomona community, inspiring others through his kindness, dedication, and service.
From his 30-year career helping build airplane parts for a government contractor to the lasting impact he’s made through family and community, Trinidad’s life is a powerful example of hard work, resilience, and love. Thank you for a century of wisdom and inspiration!

As a former 9-1-1 dispatcher, this fight is personal to me. Dispatchers are the calm voice in our darkest moments, yet too many are overworked, understaffed, and denied the recognition they deserve.
That’s why I’m fighting to pass the bipartisan to finally reclassify 9-1-1 dispatchers for the lifesaving work they do.
I encourage everyone to listen to this podcast and call the Speakers office urging the House to bring the 911 SAVES Act to the floor for a vote!
America’s 911 system is in the throes of its own emergency America’s 911 dispatchers are straining under pressure, leaving thousands of callers waiting during emergencies.

Today I reintroduced a bipartisan and bicameral resolution designating May as National Wildfire Preparedness Month. As wildfire threats grow across California, preparation can save lives.
Make a plan, clear defensible space, prepare a go-bag, and stay informed. Let’s keep our communities safe this wildfire season. 🔥
