Great news! I am proud to share that three of the songs you helped nominate were selected to be inducted into the prestigious National Recording Registry at the Library of Congress—“Mambo No. 5” by Pérez Prado, “Texas Flood” by Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, and “Feliz Navidad” by José Feliciano.
Thank you for all your help celebrating Latino and Texas talent!

The students in Victor’s fifth grade class know how much he loves playing soccer. ICE targeted him and his sister Monserrat, a second grader, and stepmother at the bus stop and are currently locked away at the Dilley trailer prison. His classmates wrote him letters telling him how much they miss him. ICE should release the family immediately. These children belong at school and at home.

Olivia Andre, a 19-year-old nursing student, spent six months inside the Dilley Trailer Prison.
But thanks to the advocacy of her family, Congresswoman Pingree, Miss Rachel and attorneys she’s headed home to Maine this afternoon. In a few hours she’ll be home with her family.

Nayib Bukele has long targeted journalists with spyware and intimidated them into silence or exile.
With this action against journalists at El Faro, which has done excellent work exposing Bukele's ties to gangs, El Salvador under Bukele continues its descent into authoritarianism.

For nearly six decades the U.S. has voluntarily remained in the dark on Israel's nuclear capabilities.
The ambiguity ends now.
There is too much at stake to accept ignorance. We are at war alongside Israel against Iran without knowing what their red lines are for using a nuclear weapon.
I led a group of 30 lawmakers to demand an end to the ambiguity.

Kevin González is only 18. He is suffering from stage 4 colon cancer and has days to live. He’s desperate to spend his last moments with his parents, but ICE detained his mom and dad after they tried to seek humanitarian asylum.
This is the total cruelty of Trump’s mass deportation machine. I'm asking for Kevin’s parents to be released immediately so that they can be with their son.

Eighteen-year-old Kevin González has only days left to live, but his final wish of seeing his parents one last time before he dies could be in jeopardy.
