On Memorial Day, I return to the Gettysburg Address, where President Lincoln so powerfully spoke of our inability to articulate the immense sacrifice of our fallen troops:
"We can not dedicate. We can not consecrate. We can not hallow this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract."
Though we cannot convey the debt of gratitude and depth of loss, we must still try.
On this solemn day, we honor the courageous service members — patriots — who gave the "last full measure of devotion" for our freedom.
Voting rights are under attack.
Not since Jim Crow have we witnessed such a blatant and disgusting effort to disenfranchise Black voters.
We must protect our sacred right — before it is too late.
It's all about the grift with this administration.
While a war rages on and everyday prices for Americans skyrocket, this President is looking out for one person — himself.

On Armed Forces Day, I am thinking of the courage and patriotism of our exceptional service members — and the immense sacrifice of their families.
I'm especially mindful of one our own — Dave — as he serves overseas and his beautiful family. We are deeply grateful for your leadership, and we are thinking of you.
Because of Trump’s illegal tariffs, grotesque immigration policies, and now a deadly war with Iran that has cost $30 billion — Everything costs more.
The president does not care.
Now, he wants American taxpayers to fund his golden ballroom.
